Energy Justice Summer & Bucket Brigade Training August 3-5

Hey Friends,
Saturday - we have a group of college students coming to Perry (led by Jason Misner, Climate Action organizer), and we are taking them on the "toxic tour", - the trip they'll never forget! (you are welcome to come too!)

Then from 2-5 on Saturday, we will have a very special thing happen in Perry: Bucket Brigade training to show us how to capture and measure air pollution. You need to be there! Anyone interested in air pollution will enjoy and benefit from this excellent training. We hope to establish a Bucket Brigade in Perry...

Then, at 5:30 on Saturday, Stacey Gonzalez from Lois Gibb's (Love Canal fame) group, The Center for Health & Environmental Justice, is coming from Washington DC and will give a workshop especially for us on community organizing and the Precautionary Principle - you will love Stacey - she's a great speaker and organizer.

This will be a fun and informative time - and it is important that you be there.

Please send this invitation on to your friends and ask them to come.
There will not be any charge for the meeting.

Please plan to be with us at Forest Capital Hall Saturday afternoon if you can't be with us all day. The schedule for the entire weekend is below.

If you can help in other ways, please let us know - like helping to transport the students on the toxic tour, or just helping out in general.

Sunday, the students will go to Tallahassee to participate in the nuclear and war protest in front of the Capitol, from 12:30 to 4 P.M. You are welcome to be with us there too.

Please call Diane or me if you can or cannot be with us - or can help.
We will need a headcount for lunch on Saturday, so please let us know if you plan to be with us.

and we hope to have a really good turnout!

Subject: No Nukes and War Protest on Sunday - students coming!

Hi friends,
Yes, the Climate Action students are coming to Perry this weekend!

They want to come to Tallahassee on Sunday and participate in the protest. If we get them to the parking lot across the street from the Capitol at 11:30 AM, could we meet up with you there to give them some "protest 101" training?? We expect about 10 students and 4-5 Perry folks to be there.

They will make signs and posters Saturday night and Sunday morning, so they'll be ready when we get to Tallahassee.

Anything I need to do?

You are of course invited to come to Perry on Saturday for the energy justice summer training, toxic tour, bucket brigade, and precautionary principle training. We'd love for you to be with us!
